| 94 60 From Mrs. J. S. Flaglor "Gleanings of the Wells Family" Published 1931 in the Sackville Tribune. Adam Clark Avard Wells b. 1823 in Pt de Bute, m. Hanna H. Wall. They had a family of 8, one dying in infancy; a son and a daughter died in early young man and womanhood. Mr. Wells spent the larger part of his life in Bayfield, NB, some years in Saint John and later years in Baie Verte, where he was an official in the church, supt. of the Sunday School, also a strong temperance advocate always. He was a postmaster there for several years. 27 Avard Wells, son of the first William Wells [no, son of a later William Freeman Wells] had a son William Wilberforce Wells, a lawyer in Moncton and later Westmorland Co. judge. Thorne and Gilbert Wells were also sons of Avard. Minnie, a daughter of Avard, married Dr. McCully of Moncton, Ella Wells, a dau., married James Flaglor of Saint John; Annie Wells married a Mr. Watson of the USA. 60 from Carol J. Jack Wells: Baie Verte Cemetery - graveyard for St. James United and St. Lukes Anglican, located between Baie Verte Rd. & Hwy 16, at Burton Rd & Coburg Rd. There is a Wells plot about 20 ft x 20 ft, cement perimeter, contains 5 graves; - Gilbert W. W. Wells 1866-1904 - Adam C. A. Wells d. 8 Feb 1891 age 68 & his wife Hannah H. I. Wall 1829-1908 (children of Avard & Hannah Wells: flat grave markers are father, mother, Gilbert W. W. & Theresa H.) - Leslie H. Wells d. 27 Feb 1860 age 1 yr. - H. Wilberforce WELLS, barrister of Moncton, died at his home Sunday last. Within a short the deceased gentleman's brother, W.A. WELLS and Mrs. RAYWORTH of Upper Cape, his sister, have died suddenly == Daniel F. WELLS of Moncton, died at his residence Baie Verte, after a brief illness of pneumonia. Mr. Wells was known in this city as proprietor of the Revere House previous to the fire of 1877. While in the city he was an active member of the Germain St. Methodist Church and for several years was superintendent of the Sabbath school. Deceased leaves a family of five as follows: Mrs. James S. FLAGLOR of this city; Mrs. WATSON, New Haven; Thornton WELLS, I.C.R., Moncton; W.W. WELLS, barrister, Moncton; and Gilbert WELLS, school teacher at Baie Verte. A sister of the deceased is now visiting Carleton. The death of A.C.A.
